Aces & Eights has a second edition called Aces & Eights: Reloaded. Given that this is a new edition, how do I enter books for it? Should Aces & Eights be elevated to a system and then it's divided out? Some modules are re-issued but others are brand new. Before I enter these in I'd rather know so it doesn't become a mess.

If the core game system is still Attributes and Skills, with either random or point-based allocation, then it's "the same" enough as the first edition and items would be entered by title under the first edition.

If the core game system has changed substantively, then it'd be its own RPG and then the items would be entered under the new RPG.

I think the site calls this something like the 98.3% rule?

Chivalry & Sorcery is a good sample - 1st & 2nd remain together (the "same" game) while 3rd was deemed different and is its own animal.

So I have a question here on this. So Aces & Eights Reloaded had a new version of "Showdown" released. So since this is second ed., is it a new version of the Showdown book or a separate entry?

If Showdown is within a page or two and essentially unchanged, then it's a new RPG Item Version. If it's changed, all new art, completely reformatted, etc., then it's a new RPG Item.

It's hard for me to tell without holding copies.

Like, the Pathfinder Core book comes in a dozen editions, numerous languages, pocket-sized editions, large-print editions, etc. Those are all RPG Item Versions, because they're all pretty much "the same thing" except for format.

The Pathfinder Playtest Core is a whole new thing.

As Stagecoach King is linked to the existing version and the new (pending) version, it (strongly) suggests to me that the existing RPG entry and the Reloaded RPG entry must be similar enough to be the "same" game? Or is Stagecoach King presented in two versions under one cover?

Actually, that was my "goof". I put it in first under Aces and Eights, then looked at your post, entered the new [RPG] Aces & Eights Reloaded then put it as the first entry in that. I think I'm going to leave it though because it is at least partially compatible with the original Aces & Eights and with slight modification could be used with that. Also, the original Aces & Eights didn't have anything like it, so if you played the original and wanted to use stagecoaches, this would be your best resource.

For Showdown after I saw you message I was debating how to do this since I don't own the original, but I went back to the Kenzer product page and found there was a 5 page preview...totally reformatted, more pages, things moved around, new art inserted.

New RPG it is.
