I seen a movie about a NYC street basketball phenom named Earl "The Goat" Manigault where he could jump so high that he could touch the to of the backboard. That is about 11 ft. high. What is the most amazing feat of athleticism has everyone else seen or heard about?

Dwight Howard dunked on a 12 foot rim in the 2009 NBA slam dunk contest and made it look so easy he probably could have done it at 13.

Secretariat is rather ridiculous.

While I didn't see either performance, I'd note world record holders in the Decathlon: Kevin Mayer (France) and Austra Skujytė (Lithuania). Skujytė has held the women's record for 13 years (although it's worth noting women more often compete in the Heptathlon).

My brother was being recruited to do the Decathlon back in the 70's. He was winning running, jumping, and weight events at meets. He had never really tried pole vaulting, but the recruiters thought he would be competitive with nine events while learning the pole vault. A knee injury (football) and hip injury (baseball) would end that.

Edit: I'm ridiculous for not mentioning Jackie Joyner-Kersee (USA) who has held the Women's Heptathalon record since 1988. Damn. 31 years.

I subscribe to this site on facebook. I think this is the first of their videos I ever watched. I tune in and watch them for inspiration, not that I expect to ever do any of these things -- I just love knowing that other people can do them.

Okay, I could probably be the guy at about 2:50 who gets hit with the bike.

The parachute jump from hot air balloon image reminded me of Felix Baumgartner who surely achieved some insane athletic cred with his 24 mile free fall?

As far as sheer athletic ability is concerned, Bo Jackson might be a good candidate for the title of GOAT.
