...know the stations of the Orient Express by heart.

I just learned so much about you just by learning the name of your cat!

My cats (actually, they live with my ex) are named "Artemis" and "Athene". There was also "Aphrodite", but she passed away.

Ha!

My kid got in trouble in school recently for talking back to a teacher when teacher stated it was impossible to roll a 7 on a dice.
kid told teacher she was wrong and it was quite possible to roll a 7 on a d20... kid probably should have stopped there but she then mentioned d10, d12 etc and got her rpg set out in class to prove she was right

Actually, that's a very nice way to criticize the teacher. Better than "*groan* Of course. It's impossible to roll any element not within the defined sample space. Aren't they teaching the basics at university anymore?" shake

You hang fantasy maps on your walls as home decor...

You know the difference between a hobbit and a halfling...

You add more rules for no other reason than because the game is just not crunchy enough...

you argue that an rpg's rules aren't simulation enough but yet you play settings with planar travel, vancian magic, flying boats, a flat planet, or a planet on the back of a turtle...

you do a TED talk about rpgs...

you have ever started an argument regarding simulationist vs. narrative vs. gamist rpgs...

if you have damage location dice...

if you have a d20 or rpg character name tatooed on your arm...

if people play an rpg at your wake or after the funeral

Guilty! I've never used it, but I like having it.

I did that. Also mentioned how it was possible to use cascading tables and add different dice together.

The district I worked for, the math texts require polyhedrals, and the kits ship with classroom sets.... the 5rd grade probability unit compares different types of dice.

This is great. Two months ago I found and bought (for 8 bucks) a full suitcase of 162 polyhedral dice for an laternate method of teaching that is called here, Montessori schooling.

They make sentences such as

"The prerequisite to slay an opponent of Julia's level is that you level up in Corporate Savoir-Faire and FastTalking"

instead of "you'll have to do better socially if you want Julia's job".

This is quite LARP-appropriate.

"There are seven different rubber weapons hidden in this cemetery. Being hit by one means you are out for ten minutes. You also have seven riddles on these papers. You have until sunset to solve more than the others and get the inheritance. Go!"
