Re: Stranglers table
What is needed from a player?

Only the Playset file and nothing else?
Because I am a newb to Fiasco

If the above is true, I would like to join!

Re: Stranglers table
All you need is the file, I'll give out the rest of what little information you'll need. Player order is decided by the population count of the town you grew up in.

Mine is Leeds, England. Population 800,000.

So that leaves us needing one more!

This is PbF, rght? In that case I'm in - if it's okay I'm not familiar with the setting? (I LOVE Fiasco, though).

The setting seems generic dungeons and dragons, but from the monsters side of things.

and yes it's PbF!

I guess the only thing needed for now is the two paragraphs (I think?) that describe it - in the PDF above...

Re: Stranglers table
18d6 = (5 + 2 + 3 + 5 + 5 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 5 + 2 + 1 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 5) = 62 rolled 2 extra by mistake, they are now gone. 16 die is how many you roll if its a 4 player fiasco

23444555
12333245

Once we have our last player in we'll take turns using the numbers on the dice to select options from the playset, each time we use a number it will be removed from the pool of dice.

Re: Stranglers table
We'll be setting up something like this, though we will be using different playset from the example.
Quote:

Leonie (relation with Jonna)
1. Relationship: Romance 4 - Crush/Object of crush 3
2. Need: To get out 1 - and make sure he doesn't 6

Jonna (relation with Alex)
1. Relationship: The Past 6 - Criminal on the run / person pursuing them 2
2. Object: Forbidden 1 - A well-concealed infected bite 2

Alex (relation with Dean)
1. Relationship: Family 1 - Siblings 1
2. Need: to get revenge 2 - On everyone who wrote you off 3

Dean (relation with Leonie)
1. Relationship: Romance 4 - Crush/Object of crush 3
2. Location St Snyder Hospital 6 - The mortuary in the basement 1

As we select a dice, we delete from the pool and add it to the table above. Then the next player can quote the previous player, just adding their turn, and so on.

Re: Stranglers table
I can make (and update through the setup process) a graphical representation of the "table" with all connections and relationships, so that the seating order is easier to reference.

Provisional setup (please note seating order is not final, pending Neil's headcount )...

Great table! Is that just something you threw together in an image editor? I've seen other PBFs using something similar.

Thx!

Yep, made completely in Inkscape (open-source SVG editor), so it is infinitely scalable without losing detail.

And yes, I saw the one they are using over in Monstrous Fiasco. Nearly wish there would be a general one - but thinking of it, it could be done in inkscape too... I mean for 3 and 5 players also. Might write that onto my To-Do list for the near future whistle

Could I convince you to send me the Inkscape files? I'm doing a trainwreck, and it would be awesome to have this as well If so, I could geekmail you my e-mail address

Are we still waiting for Neil - has he responded in any way?

I see his last login was 27-05 (so maybe he has some personal business to tend to)...

Re: Stranglers table
Ok we have all our players at the table

Neil its your choice first, You can select from any category but we'll have a maximum of 2 needs, 1 object and 1 location. on your turn take one dice from the pool to select a option from the playset. It can be applied to anyone, not just you.

You can quote this set up and then remove the quote bits and add your changes

Neil (relation with Peter)
1. Relationship:
2. Need/object/location

Peter (relation with Joe)
1. Relationship:
2. Need/object/location

Joe (relation with Alex)
1. Relationship:
2. Need/object/location

Alex (relation with Neil)
1. Relationship:
2. Need/object/location

dice left:
23444555
12333245
