User Summary
The second in Lucasfilm Games' series of Star Wars games for the NES, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back puts players once again in the role of Luke Skywalker, embarking on an odyssey through scenes drawn from the Star Wars saga's fifth cinematic episode. Platform levels set on Hoth, Dagobah and Bespin provide a variety of challenges, culminating in an encounter with Darth Vader himself.
This should not be confused with Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (Parker Brothers), the Atari VCS game released ten years earlier (although this game's recreation of the Battle of Hoth plays remarkably similarly to the earlier game, albeit with substantial graphic improvements).
