What to do When a Video Game Has Been Released
NOTE: You may request the removal of the "Unreleased Games" franchise from any game that is set to release within the next month.
1.) Edit the description and remove the Unreleased Games banner.
2.) Submit a correction to the game, removing the franchise link for (Unreleased Games - Unavailable). In the correction, please ask that the placeholder image be unlinked. This is a manual job that must be performed by a Admin.
- Please check the video game and release version data and submit corrections as needed: release dates, correct title, alternate names, etc.
Thank You! There are GeekGold rewards for helping us in this endeavor.
Why Are Press Kits Allowed, While Other Images Are Excluded?
1.) The game has not been released yet, which means users cannot take their own images. Uploading images to VGG that you did not take yourself, or receive permission to upload here is a violation of our Image Policy.
2.) Press Kits are a pre-packaged set of images or other media released to the press and public for the purposes of promoting their product. In the past a box or package containing demos, art, and promotional items would get sent out to magazines and the gaming press. Now-a-days most official websites will have a link or section on their website labeled "Press Kit". Press Kits are made freely available to game websites and the public to be used for this exact purpose.
